Yacamán announced his participation in the 2010 Firestone Indy
Lights Series in a Dallara Indy Lights car prepared by Cape
Motorsports in partnership with Wayne Taylor Racing. The two
racing entities combined experience in American motorsports creates
expectations for a successful season for the young Colombian in the
Indy Lights Series.
Three-time sports car champion Wayne Taylor is an accomplished
driver, having won the 24 Hours of LeMans, the Rolex 24 At Daytona (twice) and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Having retired from fulltime
racing, he now concentrates on running his successful racing
organization, and is excited to partner with Cape Motorsports and
serve as a mentor to Yacamán.
Taylor’s guidance will provide Yacamán with years of experience in
the world of American motorsports and will add a new approach to
Gustavo’s racing career as he works towards his ultimate goal of
becoming one of the elite drivers in the IZOD IndyCar Series.
Cape Motorsports’ co-owner, Dominic Cape, will be responsible for
assuming the task of Chief Engineer. Together with the company’s
co-owner and brother Nicholas, they have won multiple
championships in the USF2000, IMSA Lites and Cooper Series. In
2007, the brothers engineered programs in the Indy Lights Series
with teams such as Andersen Racing where they won the rookie of
the year title with JR Hildebrand in his first season. Both Dominic
and Nicholas also have experience in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports

Support for the program will come from Indianapolis-based Wayne
Taylor Racing which is led by motorsports veteran Simon Hodgson.
Operations manager since 2007, Hodgson has a vast experience in
open-wheel racing, including working with Formula 1 teams like
Lotus, McLaren on a sports car project, as well as with Target Chip
